Death

Death is a part of life. To every beginning, there is always an end just as for every union there is always a separation. Although it may seem as a negative card that is dreaded and feared by many, the Death card can also mean new beginnings. For the spiritual, Death is actually the beginning of a new life -- When the spirit is released from the body in order to be reborn again.

The Death card should not be feared as it doesn't just represent the death of a person. It also symbolizes the end of something that you may not really need and should not be attached to. It also gives you the message that in time, new opportunities will be revealed in your path. And, you're going to have a fresh start -- A new life!

This picture was shot in Hanoi where families bury their dead in the land in which they lived. Their burial grounds can usually be found in the middle of fields and rice paddies. After two years, the family of the deceased would dig out the bones, clean them and put them in the family garden.

  1. Correction: Normally, we don't dig out dead people after two years. It's 3 years. And then we build a home for them right there in the paddy where they were buried before.

Do you really believe in Reincarnation?
